I set up the router and wireless connection (Sierra 880) with a wireless usb adapter (Medialink Wireless n adapter) very easily. I am not experienced with setting up a network, as this is my first one that went successfully. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I was set up within about half an hour, running 2 computers through it. I also have family that run their laptops through the wifi using their notebooks, also was easily connected. I also use my wifi to connect with my ipod touch. My only problem with it is that I play an online game and when connected through the router I experience connection interruptions. I've tried to open ports as suggested, but still get them. It may be a setting I haven't found yet, or a combination of the firewall and lack of 3G (no 3G service at my house, c'mon AT&T), I'm not sure. However as soon as I put the air card directly to my computer, the problem stops, so I am blaming the router as of now. Otherwise I'd give it five stars. Great to have, and easy to use, and am overall very happy to have it. There is less fighting over who is on the internet, on one computer. I just run my air card directly through my computer when I play online, and no-one else is around.

I had tried a number of different cellular modems claiming to work with my Verizon USB modem. This one finally worked. It has worked like a champ too. It came set with normal defaults so the average user could simply plug it in and go, but it also has a lot of great features (such as DYNDNS, port forwarding, etc.) that the advanced user can use to get even more out of this router. I like the 4 LAN ports also. I've owned this product for about a month now and think it is great. I would definitely recommend it to others.

this device just made my life so much easier. Now instead of one of us being on the internet at a time, all of us are. I just plugged my usb aircard into device, plugged it in to outlet, and tada! Highly recommend to all.

I purchased this unit to replace my D-Link DIR-450. My 3G provider changed and my broadband card went from PCMCIA to USB. This unit works much better than my old one ever did and is cram packed with additional features. Security & routing setup is much simpler and just plain works. Support for models of USB modems is outstanding as well. I cant say enough good things about this unit!

I recently was in the market for wireless router to use in extending my Clear WiMax 4G connection to devices that did not support the USB modem I purchased. The USB modem works great for my Windows laptop, but did not work for my older Mac, Wii or Netflix enabled Blu Ray player.
I thought about getting the router directly from Clear, but the device they offer had features I didn't need or want to pay for most notably the ability to run on batteries.
I eventually settled on the CradlePoint MBR 900 because:
It supports the Clear WiMax USB 4G modem
It supports wired connections, which is what I needed for my BluRay player for Netflix
It supports 802.X wireless connections which is what I needed for the Wii and older Mac
It has the needed security features (authentication and encryption
I received the device about a week after ordering it. It was easy to set up with one major issue, configuring the device for Clear WiMax 4G, which required a call to their support staff to resolve.
